Saenger Associates recently placed a VP Finance & Administration with a first time client, a local aerospace fluid controls component manufacturer . Our search was challenged to confidentially recruit a local candidate in a very insulated industry. The successful candidate had to be strong in accounting and finance, along with experience managing IT and contracts, as well as experience working closely with shop floor operations. Our client is a subsidiary of a public company, so the candidate had to possess the skill set to navigate with the parent company. Based on our experience in the aerospace industry, we were able to use our network to find the perfect fit. We made over 291 contacts from our 50,000 person database. After 141 telephone follow ups, we interviewed and presented 7 possible candidates to our client. They interviewed 3 and the offer was extended and accepted by the finalist. Our communications and weekly calls with our client moved the process forward. The offer was accepted in 70 days.
