A case in point is a retained executive search assignment we completed with the final candidate’s placement late in the first quarter, even as the novel coronavirus spread from Asia to Europe to the States.
“We were retained by a major Southern California water recreation client with office locations and distribution centers nationwide to attract a Vice President - Marketing & Sales, a newly created position due to reorganization,” said Mike Nadler, Saenger Associates senior vice president of client services, who took the lead on the search along with Saenger.
“Our targeted research identified 40 prospective candidates from the water recreation industry,” Nadler said. “We were able to attract four qualified, interested and available candidates within the comp range from our research.”
The final successful candidate possessed the marketing skills and ability to grow the business, but perhaps more importantly, was a great fit with the company culture.
“We completed the search and placed the candidate in 75 days, and the company president has offered to serve as a professional reference with our future potential corporate clients,” Nadler said.
